Changing the face of a nation

What's next for Haiti?
As an immigrant from this country I am wondering what comes next? what comes after the clean up? what happened six months, a year post disaster, where, how do you start restoring the country; I tell you how, by getting rid of the useless government of that country who  does nothing but bleed the country dry, we have a useless president that can't help the country, a starving army that can hardly eat but yet the citizens supposed to rely on them for safety, they are the ones who's putting the country at odd,  for a country that was the first black republic to fight and gainned their independance we should truly be ashamed of ourselves, I am sure our founding fathers are turning over in their graves watching what they fought so hard for two hundred yrs ago turn into what it is now, the joke of every nations ; will it be so foolish, so outragious if Haiti was under the occupation of another country, ie the United States, Canda, or France. every nations has their prides but how can you have pride and your people are starving, dying of curable diseases, the highest level of poverty, how can we  be proud of that? I grew up during the times Duvalier was in power call me a communist if you want but that's the Haiti I prefer,  there were jobs, prominent schools, the country's agriculture was flourishing, we imported, and exported to other countries we had the respect of other nations, we had a booming tourists economy ; we could have that same Haiti back it's just a matter of sucking up our pride and getting rid of the bad seeds which starts from our current government.
I know there re many who feels the same way I do but are afraid to speak out, but after this disater enough is enough for those of you who claimed to love your country so, what good is that love if you can't set aside your pride just to see your country flourish like all the others, yes we need help to make it happened but our government can't do it " WE NEED A TAKEOVER" not an hostile one but a friendly takeover during our greatest time of need, it's heart breaking hearing the media referring to Haiti as one of the poorest country in the western hemisphere, since when? it upsets me as well as others to hear that constantly, it's time for a change in Haiti, and change start with wiping out the greed driven government that's currently holding the country hostage.
As a Haitian and American citizen I beg, and beg, the United states or the countries to consider taking us under their wings, perhaps that will elimintae some of their illegal immigrants problem, if the people had something to look or live forward for they wouldn't be fleeing their homeland in search of a better life elsewhere. I know it's easier said than done but it can be done, for it has been done for other countries and other islands, Haiti or it's government doesn't have what it takes to rebuild itself we need to be under  the occupation of another in order for us to survive, there's no better time than now.....

A New Era

They say compassion is gone from the world, but the disaster that happened in Haiti proved us to be wrong about humanity, no matter how much we are suffering at home we are always , always willing to help our fellow neighbors in times of disaster.
As a citizen of that country I must say I have never been more stunned than I am now due to what happened recently overthere, at the same time I am elated with joy and all sorts of emotions to see the world come to our rescue & for that I am, we are grateful to the world for showing us compassion in our greatest time of need..
Despite our misfortune I have one great concern and I am sure there are others who feels the same way, I am concern about all the aid money falling into the wrong hands, such as our "GOVERNMENT", we've seen in the past how well they handled financial transactions from other countries who came to our aid before; the "GOVERNMENT " took the money and accomplished nothing with the funds, we have no new roads, schools, no program founded by the government for the poors, no agriculturals advancements, nothing, nothing at all, and no one has been able to give accountability for all that money t'ill this day.
I hope this time the world gets smart about funding aid to the country; simply let someone else be in charge of the fundings, someone outside the Haitian government, they can oversee the programs being created & participate in creating some of these programs to aid the country but as far giving the money to do it themselves it will be a lost cause, those white collar thieves will just pocketed all those millions just like in the past and move on with their miserable lives  and leave the country in ruins as they did in the past.
don't mean to sound cruel and cold hearted in these times but this is  an actual  fact that the United States, and the rest of the nations that are donating needs to consider while they are dicussing long term aid for Haiti. I created this blog hoping others will read it and either agrees or disagree with me, & for those who will be so quick to disagree and get upset about what I've written you need to take a good look at the past and the amount of money had been funded and invested into the country and nothing was accomplish from it.
My thoughts and prayers are with the victims of the quake, and THANK YOU for all the donations from the people, the busnisses, and the countries who donated aid and money to help Haiti. We can change the past but we can certainly learn from it.
THANK  YOU
